Gil was the greatest boss a man could ever have. As I was learning the funeral trade and wound make a mistake, he would never ever scold or get angry with me, but, would calmly show me the correct way of doing things. He was a wonderful person and friend and I will never forget him. Love ya big guy!

Judy and I were very sorry to hear of Gil's passing. I was fortunate to have know Gil over two periods of time. When we worked together during our time with the Loewen Group and the second during the time of Paxus Services. During those times Gil and I had a long standing greeting. When we met he would mention that I had gained weight and I would respond that he had lost more hair. We both would get a good laugh out of the greeting. Gil will be missed both as a very good man and a good and caring funeral director.

I was shocked to read of Gil's death. I had the pleasure of working at Grace Memorial Chapel a few times with him. (No one worked "for" Gil, because he worked right along side of you.) He was a great man and a wonderful funeral director! He will be missed by so many. May God wrap His arms of comfort around you all.

It was with great sadness to learn of Gilbert's passing. I think back to the early days in Tonkawa that we became friends and the great times our families had together. Our prayers are with you Sandy along with Loy and Scott and their families.

I was so sorry to read about Gil's passing. I first knew him when I lived in Shidler and played the piano for church, therefore played for many funerals of which Gil was in charge. He was also there when several of my family members passed and such a sincere wonderful guy. I always enjoyed seeing him. I hate to know he will not be where I always expected to see him at many funerals at Grace.

    Dearest family,
May God give you His peace and you find comfort in His presence. I love the Morris family and have fond memories of traipsing though their house as a kid. Gil was a fine young man then and grew into an even better one. He helped lay many of my family members to rest and he was so good to us through the process. I'm sorry I can't be at his service to say a final fair well and hug Merlene and the girls. God bless all of you! Love and prayers, Vickie (Renfro) and Jody Denny

Sandy and family my heart hurts for you all. Gil is the reason I am where I am in my career in the funeral industry today. He was my first boss at just the age of 17 years old. He never once gave up on me. I will always cherish every memory and every word of advice I obtained from him. May he rest in peace and may God help give you all comfort during this difficult time.
