Andrew (Andy) Crowe passed away in his Bixby home peacefully on Monday April 1st, 2024, after numerous debilitating illnesses. He was surrounded by his family.
Andy was born in Denver Colorado on April 8, 1936, and was raised by his mother, Mary Crowe, in Idaho Springs. Andy had numerous jobs – from mining molybdenum in Colorado, working on the Coors mansion near Golden, to perfecting his carpentry in Almaden, CA. It was in San Jose that Andy and Cynthia met and were married March 6,1961.
Andy and Cynthia returned to Ponca City to raise their family. Andy was a home builder and carpenter in Ponca City. He was never one to be without a story or a joke and was always concerned about the pets in his and others’ lives, including any strays populating their property at any time. He also happened to be a talented artist and tended to be a perfectionist at anything he set his hand to complete. He was always conscious of people in need and often volunteered his help. He was a huge fan of his wife’s singing and loved listening to music from his era.
Surviving Andy is his wife of 63 years, Cynthia Crowe, his daughter Shannon Pryor (Medford, OR), daughter Andrea Simon (Bixby, OK), son Lance & Andre Crowe (Ponca City, OK), and daughter Brooke & Bryce Leach (Parker, TX). Grandchildren Daniel Jennings (Ponca City, OK), Candice Lemaster (Tulsa, OK), Benjamin Pryor (Medford, OR), Haley Davis (Bixby, OK), Logan Crowe (Ponca City, OK), Zachary Leach (Parker, TX), and Andrew Leach (Parker, TX). Great grandchildren include Cameron Proctor (Tulsa, OK), Isaiah Collins (Tulsa, OK), Jocelyn Davis (Bixby, OK), and twins Andy and Beau Davis (Bixby, OK). Andy was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leonard Crowe and his sister Lois Spitz.
