Carl L. Shultz longtime Rodeo and Board member of the 101 Ranch Rodeo was called to his eternal rodeo roundup. Carl was 81 years of age. He was born November 21, 1937 in Ponca City, OK to LeRoy C. and Lorrace Freeman Shultz.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in the Hope Chapel in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Ponca City, OK with officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, June 9, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, June 10 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. in Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, OK. There will be a family luncheon at 12 p.m. Tuesday in the Stagecoach restaurant in Newkirk.
Carl grew up in Kay and Noble County on August 8, 1959 he met the love of his life Mary Alice Moon and they made their home in Marland. Carl was a pipeline Welder and his passion was trick roping and riding in Rodeo's on his favorite horse "Shugg". He was very active with the 101 Ranch Rodeo and he served several years on the Board. He was also a member of the PRCA and the Pipefitters Union.
Survivors include wife of 59 years Mary of the home; 1 son: Beau Shultz and wife Rose of Braidwood, Ill, 2 daughters; Carlyn Ingmire and husband Sid of Marland, OK Cody Swopes and husband Guy of Newkirk, OK, 12 grandchildren; Sidney Ingmire and wife Monique, Jeff Ingmire and wife Sammie, Tim Ingmire and wife Alicia, Kasey Ingmire, Christina Bennett and husband Michael, Tia Leaming and husband Tyler, Tori Swopes, Beau Shultz, Erica O'Gorman and husband Phil, Kandis Wardlow and Husband Tyson, Dalton LeClair, Nathan LeClaire, Makayla Hightower and husband Matt and Jesse LeClaire. Also surviving are numerous Great Grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by his parents, Son; Clydel Shultz in 1979 and a great grandson; Ashton Michael Ingmire in 2009.
