Daniel Greg Hernandez Jr "DJ" Resident of Winfield, Kansas passed away on August 24th 2026 in Ponca City, Ok, at Integris Health Ponca City Hospital, Surrounded by his wife Sandra, and his work family Leaving behind a legacy of Kindness, devotion, and sarcastic sense of humor to his family and community.
Daniel was born on September 20th 1977 to Daniel Hernandez and Debra Diaz, in Santa Maria California. He grew up in both Casmalia California and Santa Maria California. He graduated from Righetti High School and went on to get his bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. Later in life he met Sandra Hernandez who became the love of his life and then they got married on June 15, 2016. For 14 years they shared a marriage built on Love, Strength and Laughter and unwavering commitment to one another. Daniel dedicated his life to caring for others no matter what and making sure his wife and children were loved and cared for.
Daniel loved to play Call of Duty with his Gamer friends, his gamer tag was Dahulk805. Daniel also enjoyed playing golf and playing at the casino with his loving wife Sandra. Daniel was a Jack of all trades. He was a Armed Security Guard, He got his forklift license then became a forklift driver, He was a Sanitation worker and when he went to be with god he was a line cook, doing something he loved. He loved hearing how good his food was and seeing the smiles from his delicious food.
Daniel was preceded in death by his mother Debra Diaz and father Daniel Hernandez. He is survived by his wife Sandra Hernandez and children, Carman Owen Roullo, Areil Nicole Roullo, , Jasmine Genevieve Gamez, Jordan Jack Daniel Hernandez and Sandras son Anthony Micheal Gardner. Brothers, Jeramy Rose, Anthony Hernandez, Michael Diaz, Twins Erica and Jacob Rose, Sister, Renee Rose, his grandma Penny Siler, Aunt Rosanne Macklin and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins and his long time best friends Leon Simmons Jr, Nick Robison, Big Lou Najera.
Daniel loved helping anyone, He loved to play jokes and told them just as well, He was someone you could count on for anything. He was a loving man, He touched the hearts of everyone he met. He was also a Die Hard Raiders fan. Everytime you were around him you better have some tissues for the tears from laughing so hard because of the jokester he was. His Sarcasm and Quick wit were impossible to miss, and he always seemed to have a joke, a smart comment, or a playful way of giving someone a hard time. But he had a special way of making people around him feel cared for, valued, and never alone. His presence could brighten even the darkest days. His laughter, Kindness, humor and unforgettable spirit will be profoundly missed but the memories you gave us will be cherished forever.
Rest easy, your shift is over, and you can finally lay down your apron and rest. Thank you for the laughter, the love, the memories and all the moments that made you who you were. We'll carry everything you taught us and every memory you left behind in our hearts, we got it from here Chef.
