Deborah Sue (Taylor) Turner, lovingly known as Debbie, passed away on September 30, 2026, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, at the age of 65.
Born on May 2, 1961, Debbie was the daughter of Darla Lea Taylor and Willard Don Taylor. Her hometown was Shidler, Oklahoma, and she spent some of her working years in healthcare.
Those who knew Debbie would describe her as witty, caring, stubborn, funny, and someone who never met a stranger. She always had a story to tell and a way of making people laugh. Debbie had a presence that could light up a room, and her humor and personality made her unforgettable. Although she could be stubborn at times, she had a big heart and cared deeply about the people she loved.
Debbie enjoyed the simple things in life that brought her happiness. She loved traveling, especially to Florida, and enjoyed birdwatching, with a special love for hummingbirds. She loved sitting outside, tending to her plants and flowers, reading her Bible, and spending time with her beloved dog, Oliver. Debbie also loved watching Kansas City Chiefs football games and UFC fights with Zach, sharing time together that made for special memories. She had a sweet tooth and never turned down crab legs.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, Willard Don Taylor; her mother, Darla Lea Taylor; and her brother, David Taylor.
She leaves behind her children, Zachary Johnston and his fiancé Amy Haines,Amber Davis; her grandchildren, Brennan Haines, Lathan Haines, Gemma Davis, and Freya Davis; her siblings, Diana Woods and her husband, Kelly; Darren Taylor and his wife, Rachel; and Donna Atkins; her sister-in-law, Johanna Taylor,wife of her late brother, David Taylor; as well as many nieces, and nephews, extended family members, and friends who loved her dearly.
Debbie will be remembered for her quick wit, stubborn spirit, caring heart, love of laughter, and the way she could turn ordinary moments into treasured memories. Though she will be deeply missed, the stories she told, the laughter she shared, and the love she gave will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Her memory will forever be cherished by the family and friends who were blessed to share in her life.
