Georgette Childs Atkins, resident of Red Rock, Oklahoma passed Friday, June 26, 2020, in Wichita, KS. She was 73 years of age.
Georgette was born April 13, 1947, in Pawnee, Oklahoma. The daughter of George and Virginia (Lonelodge) Childs. She attended Red Rock Public Schools.
She enjoyed watching old western movies, spending time with her family and loved the OSU Cowboys.
She is survived by her children Laetitia (Tish) Atkins and husband Vergil of Red Rock, Gabrielle Bassett and husband Tim of Ponca City, Vernon Tohee and wife Berdina of Red Rock, Leon Tohee and wife Rosa of Red Rock, Betty Littlecrow and husband Shawn of Red Rock, Gina McBlair and husband Joshua of the home. Della Grant of Ponca City. One who was always by her side, along with her children and grandchildren, was her sister Marlene. She is survived by her children, Leroy Enloe and wife, Kim of Ponca City, Katt Enloe and husband Floyd of Ponca City, Poncho and Velda Rocha both of Red Rock. Sister Mary Louise Meeks of Shawnee, Brother Roy M. Childs and wife Jolavon of Red Rock, Aunt Bernice Bull of Weatherford. 21 Grandchildren and 17 Great grandchildren with one due in October.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers Maurice Childs, Eugene Little Raven, Allen Little Raven, Alfred Little Raven and Ben Little Raven, Jr. Five sisters Beverly Mehojah, Jennie Haag, Lorene Little Raven, Christine Little Raven & Ruth Goodblanket. Two nephews, Mike and George Childs, one grandson James Tohee and one great grandson George Henry Bear.
Pall bearers will be Roy Childs, Vernon Tohee, Leon Tohee, Willie Childs, Justin Mehojah and JR Atkins. Honorary Pall bearers are Vergil Atkins, Tim Bassett, Shawn Littlecrow, Joshua McBlair, Elijah Tohee, Joseph Soutter, Stephen Soutter and Micah Littlecrow.
Viewing will be on Monday, June 29, 2020 11am to 1pm. Burial will follow at the Otoe Missouria Cemetery with Amos Littlecrow presiding.
