Georgia Lee Buffalohead

October 13, 1983 — December 29, 2025

Omaha, Nebraska

Georgia Lee Buffalohead, 42, beloved daughter, mother, and sister, was called to her eternal resting place on December 29, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska. Georgia entered this world on October 13, 1983, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, born to Ronald Lee Buffalohead and Vickie Bigbear. She was the paternal granddaughter of Roy and Dorothy (Blueback) Buffalohead.

Georgia was a loving mother to Ronnie Lenae Buffalohead-Claiborne and twin sons, Anthony L. Buffalohead-Claiborne and Daniel L. Buffalohead-Claiborne. Her children were her pride and joy, and anyone who knew Georgia knew she would move the world for them.

Georgia grew up near Cowboy Hill, Oklahoma, and attended Frontier Public School. She later moved north to spend time with her Uncle Steve Buffalohead, along with many cousins and extended family. It was there that she met the father of her children, Len Claiborne, and together they welcomed three beautiful children.

Georgia enjoyed the simple things in life. OU football was her favorite team, she loved going to the casino, and she was rarely without her beloved New Balance shoes. She was a fiercely loyal and strong-willed woman who cherished her extended family. Her “sister,” Debbie Wallace, was her constant confidante and held a special place in her heart.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Ronnie Lenae Buffalohead-Claiborne; her twin sons, Anthony L. Buffalohead-Claiborne and Daniel L. Buffalohead-Claiborne; and her sisters, Rheannon Thompson (Sonya Hernandez) and Laci Youngberg. She also leaves behind many close relatives, cousins, and great-nieces and nephews.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Visitation and night services will take place on Tuesday January 6th 2026. A traditional noon feast and giveaway will be held on January 7th, 2026, at the Ponca Community Building, with Dr. Louis V. Headman presiding over services. Burial will follow at the Ponca Tribal Cemetery, under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, Oklahoma.
