Jack Hudack

October 16, 1933 — April 30, 2019

Today our hearts are heavy because we have lost Jack Hudack. He passed away on April 30, 2019 at Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma. He was 85 years old.
Funeral Services:
A Mass of Remembrance will begin at 10 o'clock on the morning on May 3, 2019 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 415 S 7th Street, Ponca City. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery also in Ponca City.
Jackie Warren Hudack was born on October 16, 1933 in Ponca City to Mr. Gladwynn Hudack and his wife Edna Rainey Hudack. He was raised in Ponca City and graduated from Ponca City High School. After graduation, he received his undergraduate degree in geology from the University of Oklahoma in Norman. It was there that he met the love of his life, Sandra Williams. Shortly after, on June 7, 1955, the two were joined in marriage. Jack then attended OSU and earned his master's degree. The happy couple moved to Tonkawa and started their family. They were blessed with a son in 1960 and a daughter the next year in 1961. They then moved back home to Ponca City where they raised their children and made a happy life together. They would have been married for 64 years this June.
Jack was an excellent swimmer. He was on the swim team both in high school and in college. He was a lifelong OU sports fan, enjoyed golfing and loved his family. He was a serious man but with a wicked sense of humor. Being a great listener, he always had time if you needed to talk. He was a member of the Rotary Club here in town. He worked as a teacher and a principal. He said his happiest time was working at Trout Elementary as a principal. He always remembered all of the kid's names, wrote birthday letters to every student, and even took in "strays" as his own on occasion.
He leaves behind a loving family:
His wife, Sandra Hudack, Daughter Dakin and her husband Glenn Hinton of Ponca City, granddaughter Whitney and her husband Ben Cox of Norman, Grandson Kinzie and his wife Stephanie Hinton of Verdigris, great grandchildren Madelyn Cox, Bentley Cox, Hayden Hinton and Jack Hinton.
He was reunited in heaven with:
His parents Gladwynn Hudack and Edna Rainey Hudack, and one son Matthew Hudack.
The family will be at 76 May Street In Ponca City to receive guests.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Ponca City Humane Society at 900 W Prospect Ponca City OK 74601
