Joseph DeNoya

Joseph Daniel DeNoya, a lifelong resident of Ponca City, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 19, 2025, at the age of 70. Joe was born on September 29, 1954, in Ponca City to Marcus Franklin DeNoya and Helen Gertrude DeNoya.

Joe graduated from Ponca City High School and continued his education at a paint and body school in Wichita, Kansas.

After completing his training, Joe worked in paint and body repair and later managed several auto parts stores.

Joe had a passion for motorcycles and loved restoring, custom building, painting, and pin-striping some of the most beautiful bikes. He proudly owned Indigenous Motorcycle Supply in Ponca City, where his expertise and love for motorcycles left a lasting impact on his customers and peers alike.

Joe also enjoyed spending time in the garage restoring cars and motorcycles, but his favorite hobby was collecting model cars with his grandson, Tucker. Of all the names he was called, his favorite was “Papa Joe.”

Joe will be remembered for his many wonderful qualities: his strong work ethic, kindness, generosity, great sense of humor, and his gift for never meeting a stranger. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and loyal friend.

Joe is survived by his son, Jeremy DeNoya, and daughter-in-law, Cassandra, of Ponca City; his grandson, Tucker Larson; and a cherished grandchild who will join the family in April. He is also survived by his sister, Bea Mason, and brother-in-law, Jim Mason, of Oklahoma City. His nieces, Kim Troutman and her husband, Darin, of Oklahoma City, and Jaimie Mason of Texas, as well as his nephews, Jason, Blake, and Chance Troutman, will hold his memory close. He also leaves behind his loyal dog, Katie, who was his constant companion.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Marcus Franklin DeNoya; his mother, Helen Gertrude Morris DeNoya; his brother, Charles DeNoya; and his beloved dog, Layla.

A memorial service to celebrate Joe’s life will be held on August 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Life Center Church. In his final days, Joe fought the good fight and finished well, graduating from this life to eternity in heaven with his Lord and Savior. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
