Aaden Buffalohead

KAB3

Keith “Aaden” Buffalohead was born on April 16, 2005, in Ponca City, OK to Velda & Keith Jr. He passed away unexpectedly beginning his journey on April 30, 2023, at his family home in Red Rock, America.

Aaden and his siblings were fortunate to be raised by Albert Primeaux and the Roughface family. Aaden was a proud member of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma belonging to the “Hi sa da” Clan, also a descendant of the Otoe-Missouria and Kiowa Tribes of Oklahoma coming from the Deroin & Hall Zotigh families. He was a proud member of the Otoe Baptist Church, Ponca Methodist Church, and had the opportunity to help our Otoe-Missouria Native American Church taking down Tipis and cutting wood.

Aaden enjoyed spending time with his family, making people laugh, giving giant hugs, and being a Sous-Chef at 7 Clans Land and Cattle Steakhouse, where he had been employed for the last two years. He loved going to Camp Crossway and giving the staff a workout being all boy. He also loved to make rap music, play shinny every Sunday in April, and help his family cook for others in their time of need. Aaden completed his High School requirements in January and was looking forward to walking across the stage with his classmates May 12th. Frontier High School made sure we had his diploma to signify his achievement for his family and friends to see. Aaden recently turned 18, he found a new joy gambling with his Aunties and Uncles at Paradise Casino after work, he loved it so much his Sister would be tired of waiting on him to cash out.

Aaden is survived by his parents, his older sister Vanessa and new nephew, whom he affectionally called HIS BABY, his younger Brothers Noah, Alby and Uriah of Red Rock ok. Older siblings, Thomas , Lexia, Moriah, Kira & Aaliyah of Ponca City. A lot of Uncles, Aunties, Friend, Classmates, and Grandparents. Aaden was greeted this morning on the other side by his Uncle Jim, Uncle Leon, Uncle Dokes, Uncle Houston, Uncle Sonny, Uncle Steven, his Grandma Marlene, Grandpa Keith, Grandpas Roger, Bryce, Randy, his Nephew Isaac, his cousins Trenton & Nate. I’m sure there are countless others, we’re taking comfort picturing his entrance and knowing we will be reunited again.

Aaden touched a lot of lives, had a big smile and a hug for everyone. He was ornery but he was ours and we’re grateful for the time God loaned him to us.

Casket Bearers and honorary casket bearers are his family and friends, too many to choose from.

We’d like to thank everyone that loved our boy, special thank you to Mrs. Pemberton & Mrs. Sammy, Chef Leonard, Alex Black. Thank you to the Otoe-Missouria Tribe for closing for our Ponca boy, thank you to the Ponca Tribe for closing and helping with funeral costs, thank you to Frontier School for closing and supporting our family in our time of need, Thank you to the Otoe Baptist Church for closing last night for his services. Thank you to everyone who prayed for us, came to sit with us or helped us financially to send our boy home with Love.

A traditional funeral will be held in Red Rock, Oklahoma at the Otoe-Missouria Tribe on Thursday, May 4th, 2023. His Grandma Georgette and Grandma Julias family made his favorite foods, and our NAC family came out in full force to help comfort us in the days to come. His burial will follow at the Otoe Cemetery where he will be laid to rest close to his uncle Jim.
