Lorette Hess

February 20, 1934 — May 3, 2016

LORETTA MAE (MOORE) HESS

Loretta Mae (Moore) Hess was born in Pawnee Indian Hospital on February 20, 1934 to teenage parents Johnny & Minnie Moore Sr. She sadly left us on May 3, 2016 due to long term complications of rheumatoid arthritis.

Loretta attended Chilocco Indian School but had to leave shortly before graduation to help raise her 7 siblings. At 25, she met and married Everett Hess and has been the light of his life for the last 57 years. She was the center of the universe for her children, Bruce and Sherri, all three of whom all of whom survive her passing.

She was preceded in death by siblings Claudette Morris, Lorraine Sigwing, Carmen Everhart and Randall (Wahoo) Moore. Surviving siblings include Roland, Elton, and Johnny Moore Jr.

Laughter and joy were her gifts to her family and friends. She loved bingo, the Dallas Cowboys and the Oklahoma City Thunder. We will miss her terribly.

Services will be held following the traditional noon feast on Friday, May 6, 2016 at the OtoeMissouria Tribal Complex with burial in the OtoeMissouria Tribal Cemetery under the direction of the Grace Memorial Chapel. Friends may leave online condolences at www.gracememorialchapel.net.
