Matthew Scott McCleary, son of Ronald Glenn McCleary and Celeata May McCleary passed away July 14, 2026 in Oklahoma City as a result of being involved in an accident. 

Matthew was born on July 1, 1979 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He was 47 years old. He had lived in Ponca City, Newkirk, and Oklahoma City.

Matthew attended Washington Grade School and East Middle School. He graduated from Ponca City High School in 1998. Matthew earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2009.

Matthew loved snowboarding, playing the guitar, and playing soccer. He worked for a number of oil companies doing research at different court houses in different counties. Recently, he was doing construction and electrical work.

Matthew was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Glenn McCleary and his father Ronald Glenn McCleary. Also, his uncle Arthur LeRoy Henrichs.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00am July 25, 2026 at Grace Memorial Chapel followed by interment at Oddfellows Cemetery in Ponca City, Oklahoma.
