Oaklyn Farias

July 17, 2020 — July 17, 2020

Oaklyn Shay Farias, precious baby girl of Brooklyn Monks and Octavio Farias, was born into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on July 17, 2020, at 7:32P.M. at OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.  Born at 34 ½  weeks, Oaklyn weighed 3lbs 2 oz. and was 16 inches long. Oaklyn has her daddy's dark black hair and her momma's cute button nose. Mommy, Daddy, and DiDi were blessed to have gotten to spend quality time holding, loving, and admiring Oaklyn during her time at OU Children’s Hospital. Although we will never get to watch Oaklyn grow up and live her life, we are comforted by the fact that she is safe in the arms of Jesus and sitting on Papa Johnny’s lap hearing funny stories about her momma and enjoying stories from Aunt Lou reading Little Nutbrown Hare Tales and Jake Tales like she used to around the campfire. “ I carried you every second of your life, and I will love you for the rest of mine!”

Oaklyn is survived by her parents, Brooklyn Shay Monks and Octavio Farias of Ponca City, OK, and three siblings, Damaris Farias, Adrian Farias, and Ruby Farias of Ponca City, OK, her grandparents Dianna and Travis Jones of Ponca City, OK and Alan Monks of Ponca City, OK, Maria Villanueva of Ponca City, Ok, Octavio Farias Sr. of Mexico City, Mexico, her great- grandparents Barbara Caldwell of Ponca City, OK, Theresa and Bob Payne of Ada, OK, Danny and Judy Cassidy of Ponca City, OK, Roland Jones and Debbie Perkins of Tonkawa, OK, her uncles Dodger Monks of Ponca City, OK, Abran Farias and wife Kaitlin Farias of Ponca City, OK, Jordan Jones and wife Teri Jones of Tonkawa, OK, her aunts Chandler Monks of Ponca City, OK, Nathaly Villanueva of Ponca City, OK, Letty Leon-Farias and husband Arturo Leon of Tucsan, Arizona, Ana Esparza-Farias and husband Mario Esparza of Riverside, California, her great-aunts Jeanne Gory and husband Neil Gory of Ponca City, OK, and Wendy Clark and husband, David Clark of Oklahoma City, OK, her great-uncle Shawn Monks of Ponca City, OK and many cousins, great-cousins and great-aunts and uncles.
