Richard Montgomery

Richard Montgomery, known fondly as Rick, was born on November 19, 1956. He passed away on January 4, 2026, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. He leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by all who knew him.

Rick was a man respected for his straightforward nature and kind heart. In his family life, Rick was a devoted husband to Maire Montgomery and a proud father to his children: Travis Montgomery, married to Angie Reisch, Sally Dillon, married to Brant Dillon, and a loving grandfather to Max Montgomery, Scotty Montgomery, Harper Newman, and Jensen Dillon. Family adventures were a constant source of joy for Rick, who cherished the moments spent with his grandkids—building with Mega Bloks, rough housing, and sharing laughter. His unique personality shone brightly in these familial bonds, bringing warmth and laughter to their lives.

Rick is survived by his brothers, Phillip (Joyce) Montgomery, Dennis (Joyce) Montgomery, and Royce Montgomery. He was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Elizabeth, father, Bud, sister, Mary Ann Higgins, sisters Paula Cremers, and brother Carl Montgomery, as well as his brother Terry Joe Montgomery.

Rick and his absence will be felt profoundly by family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched. His proudest accomplishments include his children and his work through Montgomery Plumbing, a testament to his hard work and dedication. Rick Montgomery will be remembered not only for his professionalism as a plumber but as a compassionate man who always showed up when it mattered most.
