Sharon Kay Rhodd, a lifelong resident of Ponca City, Oklahoma, passed away on November 21, 2025, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. Born on March 26, 1977, to Lemuel Rhodd Jr. and Charlotte Blindman Rhodd, Sharon spent her life in White Eagle. Her beloved partner was Juan Manuel Flores, with whom she shared her life until her passing. Sharon was a proud member of the Ponca tribe, a descendant of Little Standing Buffalo, and also of the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Sharon attended Ponca City Public Schools before joining the Laborers’ International Union of North America, Local 107, alongside her sister, Carleda. Together, they worked at Conoco in various locations, including Ponca City, Oklahoma, and Coffeyville, Chanute, and McPherson, Kansas. Sharon found joy in spending time with her grandchildren, tending to her garden, and visiting casinos. She is survived by her sons, Tyrus James Washington and his companion Irene Vasquez, and Dylan Trent Washington and his companion Chey Rider; her grandchildren, Gwendolyn (Sparkle), Nyah, Anora, Malachi, and Leia; and her siblings, Cecelia Flores, Edward Rhodd Sr. and his wife Skyra, Lucinda Garcia and her husband Braulio, and Lemuel Rhodd III. She also had numerous nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter Breanna Rene Rhodd, and her grandparents, Lemuel Rhodd Sr. and Iva Little Standing Buffalo Rhodd, as well as Moses Blindman and Thelma Lone Wolf Blindman. The casket bearers are Tyrus Washington, Juan Castulo, Lemuel Rhodd IV, Reyes Garcia, Christian Adams, Nicholas Rhodd, Kennis Rhodd, and Bobby Rhodd Jr. The honorary casket bearers are Russell Rhodd Jr., Cornelius Leclair Jr., David Harlan, and Patrick Pappan.
