Sylvia V. Gomez

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Sylvia Virginia Gomez, age 26, Sylvia graced us with her presence on October 13, 1997, in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She was a lively soul who loved greatly. She was filled with compassion, kindness, and full of vibrant laughter. Sylvia brought so much joy and light into many lives she touched. She attended Ponca City Public Schools, during that time she developed many friendships that she would consider brothers and sisters. Sylvia had a passion for music. She always enjoyed the company of her friends and family. Her infectious laughter and whit will be greatly missed.

In her late teens, Sylvia found her love, Morris Page. Together they shared a bond and love that was unconditional between them. Years later Sylvia would bear 3 children, Maliyah Ann Page, Miles Abraham Page, and Morris Arlen Page Jr. Sylvia and Morris loved their children and cherished them immensely.

Sylvia is survived by her loving mother, Roberta Martin Gomez; three brothers, Sage Gomez, Steven Gomez JR aka “Dino”, and Ruslen Gomez, all of Ponca City, Oklahoma; and her significant other, Morris Page of Ponca City, Oklahoma and their three children, Maliyah Ann Page, Morris Arlen Page Jr, and Miles Abraham Page. She is preceded in death by her father, Steven D. Gomez Sr; her grandfathers, Robert Martin Sr and Keith Buffalohead Sr.

Services for Sylvia will be held Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Ponca Indian Methodist Church in White Eagle at 7:30 pm. A traditional feast will be held May 12, 2025, at noon with funeral service following at 2:00 pm. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City.
