Cynthia Littlevoice

September 2, 1944 — August 6, 2021

Cynthia Marie Grass Littlevoice was born Sept. 2, 1944 and left this earth on Aug. 6, 2021 at the age of 76. She was a brave and fearless girl who grew into a brave and fearless woman.
She was born to Martha Williams Grass and Charlie Grass in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Her early education was at White Eagle Grade School, Pawnee Indian School and she graduated high school from Haskell Institute.

She had multiple careers, from owning her own beauty shop to being elected the first female Chairman of the Ponca Tribe. She traveled the world and retuned to the Bressie area where she enjoyed the best part of her life cooking for her people and serving as Executive Director of the Ponca Senior Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Novaline Shipp and Galedia Thicknail and brothers Sequoia and Kim Grass; her son Jeffery Doolin, her children’s fathers and her husband of many years Samuel Vetter. While she survived many losses, she was blessed again in marriage in 2009 when she wed her husband Albert Littlevoice.

Albert and Cynthia were hooked at the hip. They shared every part of their lives and deeply and sincerely enjoyed one another’s company. In the final months of Cynthia’s life Albert demonstrated an unwavering commitment and love for Cynthia that was beyond compare.

She is survived by her husband Albert Littlevoice, his 5 children, 5 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; her son Brian Stoner and his children Brooke, Brianna, Christian, Edward and Irie; daughter Bridgett Pfluger and her children Joshua, Brianne and Kyle, father of her 3 great grandchildren children; daughter Brenda Crowell, husband Mike and son Adam. She is also survived by her sisters and spouses, Priscilla Cameron, Mary & Harold Sherman, Goldie & Buddy Tucker, Thomasine Blueback, Angel & Michael Thompson and brother Morgan Grass. She also leaves behind many many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren from her very large family and many who also called her mom and grandma.
She did not believe in quitting. She believed in finishing, whether you were going to win or lose, you finished. She finished her battle on this earth with grace and dignity with full faith that God is in control and when he called her home she would go.
