Nancy Goad

June 18, 1944 — January 16, 2023

Nancy K. Goad, 78, beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and Sister was called to her eternal resting place on January 16, 2023. She entered this world on June 18, 1944, in Ponca City, OK, born to Granville (Granny) G. Martin and Lucille A. (Arlene) Burnett Martin.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 20, 2023, in the Osage Baptist Church in Fairfax, OK with Pastor Dennis Wildman officiating. Interment will follow in the Pixley Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 3 P.M. to 7 P.M. with the family present from 5 P.M. to 7 P.M. to receive friends and relatives. In lieu of flowers the family has asked memorial donations be made to Burbank First Baptist Church.

Nancy attended Ponca City Schools and graduated from Po High in 1962. After graduation she went to work for First National bank and served in several positions and several Bank name changes. She retired in 2006 from Banking and become a full time Ranchers Wife. Prior to her retirement she met the Love of her life Larry R. Goad, and they were married on November 19, 1983 and they made Ponca City their home. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling grandchildren, she also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and playing the piano. Nancy was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Burbank, serving as church treasurer and helping whenever there was a church activity such as Christmas programs, Vacation Bible School to name a few.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Larry of 39 years, daughters; Kellie Payne and husband Jesse of Ponca City, OK, Kenda Davis and husband, Ronald of Merritt Island, Florida, One son; Victor Bennett and wife Rhonda of Ponca City, OK. Nancy is survived by her grandchildren; Colby Glenn, Kenda Janelle, Kelsey Leah, Kyle Burnett, Jonathan Grant, and Megan Rhea. Also surviving are One sister, Janice Nichols and one brother, John Martin, her bonus son, Brian Goad, and his son Bronson Goad and twelve Great grandchildren. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Granny and Arlene.
