In Loving memory of Richard Arthur Allen Williams Jr.

04.08.1974 - 12.24.2020

Richard Arthur Allen Williams Jr.

Passed away Thursday, December 24th, 2020 at the age of 46. He was born on April 8th, 1974 in Ponca City Oklahoma to Frankie Jo Moore Goad and Richard Allen Williams Sr. He grew up in Ponca City Oklahoma, graduating from PoHi in 1993.  He was known by many and loved by all.

Richard was a member of the Tulalip Tribes of Washington as well as the Otoe, Ponca and Kaw Tribes of Oklahoma. He was very proud of his heritage and enjoyed going to Powwows with his family and friends. When he wasn’t fancy dancing, he would often sit out on the drum and sing. It was at a powwow where he met Christina Anderson, who would later become his loving wife of 20 years. From then on you rarely saw one without the other. Richard was an expert bead worker, bustle and moccasin maker. He enjoyed keeping his culture alive and his fine craftsmanship is worn by dancers across the nation and in many powwow arenas even today.

Rich spent his young adult years in Ponca City working for a large furniture store doing delivery and in short time he worked his way up and became the manager of the entire store. Later he made his home in Claremore Oklahoma where he spent over 20 years as a HVAC Journeyman doing both residential as commercial jobs. Richard took great pride in his work and many of his customers will tell you that his work was second to none.

Richard later found passion in the Remote-Control Hobby. If he wasn’t flying RC planes, he was building them. He never missed the opportunity on nice days to “hit the skies”. As much as he enjoyed all things RC, it was spending time with his friends that he always valued the most. At the flying field, you could always be sure it was all about relaxing, joking, being ornery, and just having a good time.  Richs’ warm, kind, and gentle personality made him many lifelong friends and they will all tell you that you couldn’t meet anyone more loyal, trustworthy and willing to help.

Richard is preceded in death by his father Richard Allen Williams Sr, Grandfather Newman Littlewalker Jr, and Grandmother Juanita H. Littlewalker.

Richard is survived by his wife Christina A. Williams, Mother Frankie J. Goad, Step Father Mark M. Goad, Brothers Jeremy B. Williams, Kyle N. Lauer, Sisters Yvonne M. Williams, and Dawn Williams, Aunt Mary Butler, Cousin John Butler, and many more aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews.
