Dwayne Warrior

November 29, 1972 — July 5, 2021

Dwayne Warrior, 48, beloved Son, Father, Brother, Grandpa, and Uncle was called to his eternal resting place on July 5, 2021. He entered this world on November 29, 1972, in Ponca City, Oklahoma, born to Gordon Warrior and Lois Ann LeClair Warrior.

The traditional noon feast will take place Noon, Thursday, July 8, 2021, in the Tonkawa Tribal Gymnasium in Tonkawa, OK with services to follow, Pastor Jim White and Dr. Rev Louis Headman will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Ponca Indian Cemetery under the care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City. Casketbearers will be Vin Warrior, Keifer Starr, Chantay Sigwing, Brandon Warrior JR, Charles Warrior, Sonny Call Him Jr, Leroy Enloe and Spencer “Bronc” Arkeketa Honorary bearers are; B.J. DeLodge, Tony DeLodge, Danny Koomsa, James Harjo, Bill Bible, Anthony Tillman, Mark Black, Thomas Pappan Jr, Robert “June Bug” Paschal, Nolan Grant, AJ Carney, JR Kent, Cecil Gray, Monte Combrink, Bryson Swanson, Brandon Steeprock.

Dwayne grew up in White Eagle, OK and attended high school in Stillwater, OK. Dwayne went to work for Albertson's distribution as a Selector and later he became employed by the Tonkawa Tribe as a maintenance grounds keeper in 2003. He took pride in keeping Ft. Oakland looking "golf course ready". He was married to Shannon Moore and to their marriage they had two daughters Krystan Danelle and Avery Cheryl. He later joined union with Racheal Starr and to this companionship Kaedyn Rayne was born. He was also co-parent to Keely and Keifer Starr. Dwayne was an all-around athlete loving to play all sports especially basketball, softball, football, golf, disc golf, bowling, rafting, pool and Shinny. Dwayne enjoyed rock music and attending concerts, being with family and friends, watching Florida State Seminoles, Duke Blue Devils, and Raiders Football. Dwayne cherished the time he spent coaching his children in basketball, baseball, and football. On April 8, 2013, he received the greatest blessing Keagan Dwayne "Battle Toad" his first grandson. On June 26th, 2021, it was revealed that he is to receive another grandson coming in November 2021.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his parents; Gordon and Lois Warrior of Tonkawa, OK, Three daughters; Krystan, Avery, Kaedyn and grandson Keagan Dwayne all of Tonkawa, OK, sister; Hauli and Cecil Gray of Yukon, OK, Two brothers; Spencer "Bronc" Arkeketa of White Eagle, OK and Leroy Enloe and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his grandparents; Lamont and Mildred Warrior, twin brother; Dwight, sister Anecia " Angie Mo" and one brother; Brandon "Bing" Warrior.
